Olujimi Adekanle, a renowned Human Rights Activist, Humanitarian, and Public Affairs Commentator is the CEO of Savannah News TV and President of JAF Care Foundation.
Early Life and Education
Born into the family of Late Pa. Elkanah Adekanle Lijoka and Mrs. Ige Adekanle Lijoka of Gboroye Quarters, Ode-Irele, Ondo State. Nigeria. Jimi’s educational background includes Comprehensive High School Ode-Irele, Ondo State, and the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, Bauchi State. Nigeria – where he earned OND and HND in Accounting. He later obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State. Nigeria. His pursuit of knowledge also led him to Topron Consulting in Toronto, Ontario and also project management and investigation certificate course sponsored by the Royal Bank of Canada in collaboration with University of Toronto, where he earned a certificate in Business Analysis, and Oxford College Toronto Canada for a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health and Addiction.
Career
Jimi’s professional journey began as a banker with African International Bank, Jos. Plateau State. Nigeria (in 1992). He later transitioned to the insurance industry; working with notable companies such as Trust and Guarantee, Regency Insurance Plc, and Fin Insurance Limited. All at Managerial levels. In 2014, he joined politics. He contested for the Ondo State House of Assembly to represent Irele Constituency.
Humanitarian Work
As the founder of JAF Care Foundations, Jimi has been instrumental in giving back to society. His initiatives include: the Construction of a modern E-library in his alma mater; Free medical treatments for the elderly across Ondo State; Registration of students for WAEC and JAMB; Donations of relief materials and wheelchairs to those in need; Weekly food distribution to the less privileged in Canada
Personal Life
Jimi is happily married to Margaret Adekemi Daramola Adekanle, and they have four sons together. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing Golf, Lawn Tennis, and Hockey. As a fashion icon, he promotes Nigeria’s culture and heritage, particularly the Yoruba Culture.

Presently, Jimi is the Dealership Ambassador with Scarborough Toyota, Toronto. Jimi is equally the CEO of Savannah News TV, and the President of JAF Care Foundations – a Registered Non-Profit Organization (with the Government of Canada); a Manager at Lightning Scooter Shared Company, a Crypto Trading Company based in the United States of America. This biography showcases Jimi’s remarkable journey, highlighting his achievements, humanitarian services; and commitment to public services. Jimi’s journey is a testament to his dedication to Public Service and Community Development.
